The Santa Train

We rode the Santa Train with some friends. The train was a short 20 minute ride to the 'North Pole' where we got to have hot chocolate, cookies and meet Santa Claus. We only had time for one picture on Santa's lap since she quickly arched her back and started to cry. Santa picked her up and handed to me while saying 'She's done'.

Happy 1st Birthday

We had a first birthday party for Lizzie and really enjoyed catching up with friends. Below are pictures of Lizzie eating her chocolate cupcake.

The Bear Project - 1 Year

Lizzie's First Birthday at School

We LOVE Lizzie's school. For her first birthday, her teachers created this cute birthday collage and celebrated with a party hat and cupcakes. We liked the poster so much we have it hanging on her bedroom door.

Lizzie's First Grown Up Shoes

We went to Nordstrom to buy Lizzie some sturdier shoes since she's walking more now. The sales lady took a picture of Liz in one of her new pair of shoes holding her first balloon. It was such a cute picture that I took a picture of the picture to post.

Lizzie's Birthday Shirt and Hat

We bought this birthday shirt and hat for Lizzie's big day. I love this shirt and wish I could find more even without the design.

Lizzie's First Kiss

Lizzie received her first kiss from a BEAUTIFUL older boy (by two months) named Carter. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of Carter so I took a picture of his recent holiday card. I kept running into Carter's Mom Dana during maternity leave and one day all six of us ended up at the park and became fast friends. They're some of our favorite peeps!

Brett Making Lizzie Laugh

Lizzie Walking

My Shoes

Every morning, I bring Lizzie into my closet so I can watch her while I change out of my pajamas. She always keeps herself entertained by pulling every single one of my shoes out of the shoe caddy. It's a good thing that I don't have many pairs of shoes anymore (my foot grew a size after Liz's birth) so it doesn't take me too much time to put the shoes away.

First Bithday Invitation

Here is a picture of Lizzie's first birthday invitation. The picture quality of the invitation did not come out well since the colors are a lot more vibrant on the actual invitation. We had already sent all of the invitations by the time we realized we didn't have a good photo for her blog.

Little Ballerina

A friend bought Lizzie this adorable ballerina outfit.

Watch Your Tissue Boxes

Liz's eyes get really big when she spots a tissue box and will try to jump out of our arms to get at the tissue. Her favorite new game is to pull each piece out. Brett and I realized that there really are 80 sheets in a box.

Halloween

Lizzie didn't get to go to her Halloween Party because she was sick. I went for a quick hello and saw an adorable monster, Yoda, was tempted by a sushi, and the best costume of all...I met Kim Jong Il. The little boy alex looked exactly like the dictator. After Liz started to feel better, Brett and I put her in her Cat in the Hat costume.

Lizzie Follows Directions

We recently discovered that Lizzie understands some of our requests and will follow directions. She'll go and get her ball or sit down at her table if we ask. Unfortunately, she doesn't understand 'go change your diaper' :)

Family Photos - 3 of 3

These are the only photos I'm going to upload because I had to upload them one at a time...oy vey! I used three different postings for the pictures since I was afraid that I would lose some of the posted photos.
