Challah Pooh

Lizzie officially pooped in the toilet for the first time (other times were tail end turds). Liz and I were in the shower together and she said 'I have to go doodie!'. I said 'Now?!?!'. I let her out of the shower and she sat on the toilet. I kept taking a shower and saw her hop off and say 'Look Mom, it's a challah pooh' and sure enough it was a poop!

Why challah pooh? Lizzie makes challah at school. The bread is made by taking 'three snakes' and braiding them together :)

How Scott Learned to Walk

Scott is walking now. He learned primarily using two sources - a beach ball and Lizzie's baby stroller.

Our Little Giraffe

Scott got his giraffe blanket from Aunt Michelle. He snuggles with it all day and loves putting it on his head:)

What a wiggle worm!!

Gracie's Postcard

Liz and Scott got a postcard from their cousin Gracie all the way from Copenhagen. Lizzie carried the postcard around for a while and wants to go there now :)

Cool Things that Grow in the Yard

Saw this growing in the new grass. It's a sunflower seed with the plant coming out of the seed.

Ta Da - The Yards and Driveway are Done

The yards and driveway are done. We used a lot of the existing plants. Some are new though. For instance, the white lilies are new. It's hard to tell from the picture below, but they're about 8-9 inches in diameter. The bluestone in the entrance way ended up being our 10 year anniversary gift to each other. We also bought a turtle container to store the hose. Since my Mom has been gone, I'm much more drawn to turtles now.

Scotty and His Beach Ball

Lizzie on a Trampoline

We went to the Mercer Island Summer Celebration this weekend. It's a summer tradition that starts off with a parade with older kids and folks handing out candy to younger kids. Then it's onto rides, blow up houses and other activities. Below is a picture of Liz on the trampoline having a blast.

Sometimes I Just Shouldn't

We bought a portable fence to put up to keep folks off the grass while it grew. Brett didn't have time and I wanted to show Liz that Mommy can do things around the house as well. As you can see from the picture, this may not always be the case. I was laughing so hard at how this turned out.
