Lizzie's Six Month Pictures

Mother's Day Pictures

Lizzie and I had pictures taken on our very first Mother's Day.

Barb Mochrie

An old family friend was passing through Seattle after a cruise to Alaska. We loved having Barb and Lizzie meet and hearing about all of her trips since she retired last year.

Lizzie Goes to Las Vegas

We had some friends call Lizzie's exersaucer 'Las Vegas' and thought it was so funny that we now say 'Lizzie needs to go to Vegas' when we need a moment to eat dinner. Now that she's starting to eat solids, we've started to eat dinner as a family. Although Brett and I normally walk away from dinner with banana, avocado, etc. splatted on us.

Getting Organized

Thank goodness for child-friendly bookcases and closet organizers. We liked the bins so much that we bought a couple more to hold toys and books in different rooms in the house.

Separation Anxiety

The other night, Lizzie was crying while Brett was holding her. Brett called for me to come take her because he said her crying was due to separation anxiety from me. I laughed at his reason, but picked Lizzie up anyway. She immediately stopped crying. On the one hand, I was touched that my daughter wanted her Mommy. On the other hand, I was worried that she would never let me put her down (not too distant memories of when she was a newborn). My worries were assuaged when Lizzie started to whimper a minute later. I looked down and noticed that her eyes were following Brett as he put away the big exercise ball that she loves to be bounced on all of the time. So Lizzie was having separation anxiety...from her ball.
