Gingerbread Train

Tia Tania, Liz and I made a gingerbread train together when Tania and Dan came up for a visit. Brett and Dan were teasing us because the train started to collapse under the weight of the candy. I told them that the train wasn't collapsing. Rather, it was going through a tight turn and we purposely built it to lean to one side.

Lizzie's Third Birthday Party

For Liz's third birthday party, we invited a few of her friends to Build a Bear and then to Red Robin for a snack. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. I was surprised that I could match up the teddy bear with the kid because it was that easy to see each kid's personality based on a bear's outfit.

That's a Big Big Santa

We didn't know where to put lights up on the house so we bought an inflatable Santa so we had some decoration outside. The box said 12 foot Santa, but we didn't realize really how tall 12 feet could be until we blew him up.

Annual Gingerbread Houses

This year's theme was 'Once Upon a Time' and included a lot of the Disney castles (Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid). It was great to see Liz look at the houses since she recognized the stories.

Presents from Grandma Mary and Grandpa

Grandma Mary and Grandpa sent gifts to Liz for her birthday and a very special Christmas gift for the kids. They made the kids this Christmas Count Down calendar. In each pocket is an ornament that Liz or Scott can hang on a button on the tree. The ornaments are very special as they are some of Liz's favorite things right now (some are dinosaurs). The buttons on the tree are from Carol's button collection. The calendar came with a beautiful letter. A really really special gift that we'll love to pull out every year and hold onto for our grand kids.
