The four of us went for a hike. Apparently we took a little too long of a hike since both kids fell asleep. I was proud how much they were able to walk.

Summer Celebration
This weekend was Mercer Island's annual Summer Celebration with rides, games and fireworks. Here is a picture of Liz and Carter on a ride.
Vidana Sanduni
Brett and I each have an adopted child in other countries. Brett's girl is named Claire and she lives in the Philippines. My child is named Vidana and she lives in Sri Lanka. I started to sponsor Vidana when she was Liz's age now (4) and she's now 13. I can't believe how big she's getting and am so glad she's such a great kid. When Liz and Scott get a little bigger, they will each sponsor a child as well.
Lizzie Makes a Payment with Her Kumon and Chores Stickers
Liz earns stickers for her homework and for completing her chores, such as putting everyone's shoes away. She uses these stickers to 'buy' items that she wants. She used the stickers below to buy a mermaid for her bathtub. The writing says 'To Mom, Liz'.
I Made a Castle Out of Magformers
Magformers are one of my favorite toys the kids own. They are magnets in different shapes. I was proud of myself that I made this castle.
Lizzie's Spell Book
Also happens to be my handheld dictionary that I've had for years. She comes up with some great spells :)
