First Step

Liz took her first step yesterday and then took another one today! The steps happen so fast that there is no time to grab a camera.

Lizzie's New Classroom

We're really enjoying Lizzie's new classroom. There are four kids (see second picture; Liz is the second from the top) in the room and they range from 7 months to 12 months. One side of the room is all windows so it really brings the outside inside. There are also neat toys, such as the mirrored triangle. The quality and ratio of teachers to students is great too. There are three teachers for the four kids and we feel that Teachers Leslye, Joylyn and Janine love and care for Lizzie as we do. For this last Monday, there was one kid out sick, one kid out on vacation, and one kid out because they're part time. That meant that the ratio was 3:1...that would be three teachers to Liz.

Is That Grinding I Hear?

It is!!! I heard Lizzie grinding her teeth this morning and realized that her top teeth are coming in!

Lizzie's First Painting

Here is a picture of Lizzie's first painting and a couple of pictures of her painting. I think the picture looks like a green bush with a yellow butterfly that has landed on it. She has green on her nose because she bent down to smell the paint.

Oliver and Liz

We had some friends over who have an adorable boy named Oliver who is a week older than Liz. It was fun to watch both of them use their chairs to walk around.

Pushing the Laundry Basket

Liz likes walking and will use anything that isn't too heavy as a walker.

Lizzie Looks Worse than the Highchair

Lizzie is doing well eating solids, but Brett and I haven't figured out how to make eating a neater and tidier activity.
