Separation Anxiety
The other night, Lizzie was crying while Brett was holding her. Brett called for me to come take her because he said her crying was due to separation anxiety from me. I laughed at his reason, but picked Lizzie up anyway. She immediately stopped crying. On the one hand, I was touched that my daughter wanted her Mommy. On the other hand, I was worried that she would never let me put her down (not too distant memories of when she was a newborn). My worries were assuaged when Lizzie started to whimper a minute later. I looked down and noticed that her eyes were following Brett as he put away the big exercise ball that she loves to be bounced on all of the time. So Lizzie was having separation anxiety...from her ball.

separation anxiety works both ways; when my little girls started school, i was devastated! i needed to know about the homes their little friends came from, were the parents good people, did they live in a clean house, were they allowed to eat junk food, etc., etc., etc.~~~
